I've been noticing recently that headwear is coming back in fashion. For instance, at the Fall/Winter 2009 RTW Dolce & Gabbana show, they cleverly made gloves into headresses, as seen at the left (picture: style.com). This is a trend that I am very excited about.A few years ago, when I was shopping at Galleries LaFayette in Paris with my best friend, we found these matching headbands that, at the time, felt so sophisticated and chic. We purchased them, thinking we would wear them out one night to a fabulous restaurant and make a statement. They are simple headbands with big green leaves attached much like the gloves to the Dolce & Gabbana headgear. Alas, we have never found occasion to wear our headresses. Now I feel as if I can pull my decorative headband out of it's bag and perhaps actually get to wear it in the future.

Not only have I been a repeat shopper, I also have my own jewelry wares listed on this brilliant website that showcases independent designers such as myself. This one is definitely my favorite. You don't see too many people talk about headpieces and I think it was creative and interesting that you mentioned this aspect of the industry.
Do you have any more posts? I would love to see them. Unless I'm just not seeing where they are. I would love to see more posts like this, covering specific artistry within the fashion industry.
